Pulaski County Sanitation is a County Department under Pulaski County Public Works. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. This office handles services regarding: garbage, yard waste and bulky item pick ups for the residents of unincorporated Pulaski County. Trash collection is currently contracted to Waste Management for a fee of $20.80 a month. This fee includes weekly garbage pickup and yard waste pickup as well as one bulk item pick up and tire pick up (16 tires per residence) a year. Additional bulk item pick ups are available upon request for an additional charge by calling sanitation at 210-7500.
Household Waste Collection
Residents in the unincorporated area set up service by calling the Pulaski County Sanitation Department Office at 501-210-7500. Each home is furnished with a special 96 gallon refuse container which the resident rolls to the end of the driveway or street (on private roads) on collection day for pick up. The waste collection vehicle will raise and dispense of household debris and return container to its original location. After collection, the resident is responsible for returning the refuse container back to its storage place. The refuse container remains the property of the contractor and will be maintained and replaced at no cost to the resident, except for damage due to their negligence or abuse. Please do not take the container when you move; just contact this office by phone (501-210-7500) and request the service to be discontinued and your container will be picked up. If the container is not returned a charge of $75.00 will apply. Please Note: The following debris is not allowed in the general waste container: appliances, electronics, flammables, chemical/radioactive material, paint, construction material, dead animal remains, and any type of oil, medical waste, needles and/or bodily semi-solids and bodily fluids.
Yard Waste
Your scheduled day for yard waste will be the day after your regularly scheduled household collection day. Yard debris consists of leaves, small limbs/sticks or brush that is bagged or may be placed in your waste management can and is placed by the side of the road. Please do not co-mingle yard waste and household waste.
Tree Limbs and Brush
These items must be called in after you put them out. Tree limbs must be cut no larger than 4 feet in length. If you have a tree professionally cut down, the contractor must remove this from your property. In the event that Pulaski Sanitation has to come out and recover the limbs, there will be a charge for debris removal.
