The balance of the construction project costs must be raised. In addition, the Bridge project will be expected to generate revenue for operating and maintenance costs. The preliminary design prepared by ZGF will provide drawings, renderings and project descriptions sufficient for presentation to potential donors to raise the balance of the construction project costs. In addition, with the completion of the preliminary design, an estimate will be made of the long-term operating and maintenance costs. The Bridge Public Facilities Board has obtained the services of a fundraising consulting firm to conduct a feasibility study prepare recommendations for a fund raising plan for the project.
- Construction Phase. When capital funds have been secured the Bridge Facilities Board plans to continue the agreement with ZGF for final design and construction administration services and to continue a professional services relationship with McClelland Engineering for certain engineering services.
- Professional Services Fees. The fees for professional services for ZGF design services and the fundraising consultant will need to be raised through major gift donations, grant solicitations, and apportionment of costs to the three local government entities.
